Ingredients
Eggs | 2 |
Milk | 2 1/2 cup |
Sugar | 3/4 cup |
Zarday ka Rang (yellow color) | A pinch |
Ghee | 1/2 cup |
Suji | 1/2 cup |
Kajoo / Pista / Badam | For topping |
Green Cardimum (sabz illaichi) | 4 - 5 |
Method
- Take little ghee in a pan and melt it.
- Roast kajoo/ pista/almonds in that ghee. If using almonds than boil and peel them first and then lightly roast them.
- In another pot take 1/2 cup ghee and melt it.
- Add 2 green cardimums. When slightly fried add suji and bhoon it. Don’t let suji burn.
- In blender take milk. Add zarday ka rang, sugar,2eggs and cardimums.Blend all these ingredients together.
- When suji changes into a light color gradually pour the blended mixture to avoid lumps and mix continuously.
- Keep stirring and allow it to turn thick.
- When halwa starts leaving the sides of the pot and gets collected in the centre its a sign that halwa is ready
- Take it out in a platter and garnish with roasted kajoos/pista/almonds.
- Yummy halwa is ready to serve and eat.
