Shahi Tukray

 

Ingredients

 

Milk 1 litre
Sugar 1 cup
Desi Ghee 1 cup
Zarday ka Rang (yellow color) A pinch
Flour (maida) 1 cup
Almonds, Pistachio, Kaajoo As required
Rooh Khewra (rose water) For fragrance
Green Cardimum (sabz illaichi) 6
Khoya/Kalaqand For garnishing

 

Method

 

  • Remove edges of bread slices, cut them in triangular shape.
  • Fry the bread slices until brown.
  • In 1 litre milk add a pinch of yellow color and 6 green cardimums.
  • Mix all well and allow it to boil.
  • When milk gets thick after 20-25 minutes add sugar to it.
  • Once done pour the milk over the bread slices.
  • For 5 minutes allow the bread to soak and absorb the milk.
  • Sprinkle dry fruits.
  • Now add khoya/kalaqand and sprinkle some more dry fruits.
  • Pour  little amount of rooh khewra for fragrance.
  • Yummy Scrummy Shahi Tukray are ready to serve!
